Early lead gives COLORADO CRUSH 16A easy victory over the Warrior Wolfpack, 13-1

COLORADO CRUSH 16A shut the door early on the Warrior Wolfpack, capturing a 13-1 victory on Sunday at Erie East.

With eight runs in the first three innings, COLORADO CRUSH 16A left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run triple by Jesse Smith, an RBI triple by Cassidy Blakeley, and an RBI single by Skylar Higens during the first inning supplied the early offense for COLORADO CRUSH 16A.

Smith had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A got the win thanks in large part to Sterling Martin's dominant, eight-strikeout performance. Martin allowed one earned run on two hits and no walks over five innings.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A's Higens, Smith, Miranda Davis and Blakeley combined for nine hits and seven RBIs.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A built upon its lead with four runs in the third. A clutch hit into a fielder's choice scored Smith to open the scoring in the frame.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A added five more runs in the top of the fifth. A bases loaded walk scored Davis for the inning's first run. That was followed up by Higens' single, scoring Emily Moore.

Sterling Martin leads COLORADO CRUSH 16A to 7-1 victory

Sterling Martin was strong at the plate and in the circle in carrying COLORADO CRUSH 16A to a 7-1 victory over Majestics on Saturday at Erie East.

Martin had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. She doubled in the second and third innings.

Martin's four strikeouts helped COLORADO CRUSH 16A to the victory. Martin allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over five innings.

Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed COLORADO CRUSH 16A to easily put away Majestics. A two-run single by Cassidy Blakeley and a groundout by Skylar Higens during the first inning and a two-run error in the second inning fueled COLORADO CRUSH 16A's offense early.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A increased its lead with two runs in the third. The inning looked promising, as Lexi Christopher singled, scoring Kourtney Kellogg to kick things off. That was followed up by Martin's double, plating Christopher.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A outlast WS Insanity 16 in high-scoring affair, 9-8

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as COLORADO CRUSH 16A outscored WS Insanity 16 9-8 in four innings.

The teams banged out 21 hits hits between them, as well as four for extra bases.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the second, with five lead changes.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A finally managed to grab the lead after a strong second inning. COLORADO CRUSH 16A scored on an RBI single by Skylar Higens off #86, bringing home Jesse Smith.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A held off WS Insanity 16, as WS Insanity 16 was unable to overcome a four-run third inning deficit.

WS Insanity 16 scored three runs in the third on two singles. Unfortunately, WS Insanity 16 wasn't able to take the lead back.

Even though Smith allowed eight runs over four innings she still recorded the victory. She struck out five, walked four and surrendered 10 hits.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A was sparked by Emily Moore and Cassidy Blakeley, who teamed up for three hits and four RBIs.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first. COLORADO CRUSH 16A's offense woke up as Miranda Davis singled before Moore tripled, plating Davis. COLORADO CRUSH 16A then tacked on more runs when Moore scored on an RBI single by Blakeley and Blakeley scored on an RBI single by Kourtney Kellogg.

WS Insanity 16 quickly matched COLORADO CRUSH 16A's strong inning with a four-run inning of its own in the first. WS Insanity 16 scored on a groundout by #86, an RBI single by #99, an RBI single by #5, and a two-run home run by #6.

The lead was COLORADO CRUSH 16A's to lose after second inning. More runs came home on two hit into a fielder's choices and a wild pitch.

Error proves costly as Heat 18A (Siemer) falls to COLORADO CRUSH 16A, 5-1

Three first-inning runs helped COLORADO CRUSH 16A to a 5-1 win over Heat 18A at ASP B1 on Sunday.

Jesse Smith was a workhorse in the circle while bagging the win for COLORADO CRUSH 16A. Smith pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, eight hits and four walks while striking out four.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A pushed across one run in both the sixth inning and the Seventh. In the sixth, COLORADO CRUSH 16A scored on an RBI single by Miranda Davis, plating Cassidy Blakeley.

In the sixth inning, Heat 18A pushed across its only run of the day on a sacrifice fly by S Lewis.

After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the second, Loveland Rage 18A faced just a 3-2 deficit. An error and an RBI single by #24 fueled Loveland Rage 18A's comeback. Finally, Martin got #5 to fly out to end the threat.

The bats were busy at ASP B4 on Saturday, and when the dust cleared COLORADO CRUSH 16A had a 12-9 win over New Mexico Bombers in four innings.

The two teams combined for 18 hits in the game.

Saturday was a day Sterling Martin will remember forever as Martin threw a no-hitter in COLORADO CRUSH 16A's 10-0 victory over CS Thunder 18 .

No CS Thunder 18 (Schroeder) batter was able to locate Martin's pitches during the game. Martin threw a no-hitter, striking out three batters and walking two while recording her momentous feat. She got #7 to strike out for the final out of the game.

The offense exploded for the COLORADO CRUSH 16A in the third. In the inning COLORADO CRUSH 16A scored nine runs.

Brooke Doumer did all she could to give COLORADO CRUSH 16A a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past the Angels , as COLORADO CRUSH 16A lost 6-3 in seven innings at Rolland Moore three on Sunday.

Doumer led COLORADO CRUSH 16A's offensive threat, as she got on base three times in the game. She singled in the first inning.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as the Angels scored two runs on a fielder's choice and a passed ball.

The Angels added four more runs in the bottom of the second. A error scored Eubanks and Ertle to get the Angels on the board in the inning.

Two runs in the top of the sixth helped COLORADO CRUSH 16A close its deficit to 6-2. A two-run double by Sterling Martin fueled COLORADO CRUSH 16A's comeback.

One run in the top of the seventh helped COLORADO CRUSH 16A close its deficit to 6-3. An RBI single by Jesse Smith gave COLORADO CRUSH 16A life. But, Heebner got Kourtney Kellogg to ground out to end the game.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A get on top of Tiger (Sanchez) early but can't hang on in 5-3 loss

COLORADO CRUSH 16A jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on and lost 5-3 to Tiger on Sunday.

While COLORADO CRUSH 16A led until the seventh inning, Tiger worked its way back and took the lead on a two-run home run by #11.

Home runs for Tiger came when #11 homered in the third and seventh innings and #16 homered in the seventh inning.

Tiger was sparked by #11 and #16, who teamed up for six hits and five RBIs.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. COLORADO CRUSH 16A got things going when Miranda Davissingled. A single by Brooke Doumer then moved Davis from first to second.

It didn't take long for COLORADO CRUSH 16A to answer as it scored two runs of its own in the third. COLORADO CRUSH 16A scored on An error and an RBI single by Sam Hardy.

Tiger never trailed after scoring three runs in the seventh on two two-run blasts.

Karlee Arnold went 1-3 and hit a home run as COLORADO CRUSH 16A took home a 6-1 victory over Stars in seven innings at Twin Rivers two on Sunday.

She homered in the seventh inning.

Jesse Smith struck out six hitters en route to the COLORADO CRUSH 16A win. Smith allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks over seven innings.

The game was never in doubt after the fourth, as COLORADO CRUSH 16A scored four runs on a sacrifice fly by Kourtney Kellogg and two singles.

Stars 's lone run of the ballgame came in the sixth inning on a solo home run by #23.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A jumps on FC Stars (Nigro) early and coasts to 13-0 win

COLORADO CRUSH 16A refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against FC Stars , recording a 13-0 victory on Sunday at Twin Rivers two.

With seven runs in the first three innings, COLORADO CRUSH 16A left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run single by Kourtney Kellogg and an RBI single by Emily Mooreduring the second inning supplied the early offense for COLORADO CRUSH 16A.

Kellogg racked up three RBIs on two hits for COLORADO CRUSH 16A.

Sterling Martin shut down FC Stars while she was on the rubber. Martin held FC Stars hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

Jesse Smith got the win for COLORADO CRUSH 16A. She tossed two innings of shutout ball. She struck out three, walked none and surrendered one hit.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A tacked on another four runs in the third. Skylar Higens singled, bringing home Cassidy Blakeley to start the inning. That was followed up by Sam Hardy's single, plating Miranda Davis.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A added six more runs in the top of the fourth. Smith kicked things off with a single, scoring Moore.

Stars 14U (Eldridge) and COLORADO CRUSH 16A tie

Stars 14U and COLORADO CRUSH 16A played to a 5-5 tie on Saturday at Twin Rivers one.

In the top of the second, COLORADO CRUSH 16A grabbed the early lead, 3-0. The COLORADO CRUSH 16A attack began with a single from Sam Hardy. Then moved Hardy from first to second. Karlee Arnold singled, scoring Hardy. COLORADO CRUSH 16A pushed more runs across when Arnold scored on a wild pitch and Kellogg scored.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A brought home one run in the fourth inning, and matched that run total in the Sixth. In the fourth, COLORADO CRUSH 16A scored on a groundout by Brooke Doumer, plating Kourtney Kellogg.

After a quick strike from COLORADO CRUSH 16A, Stars 14U responded with two runs in the fourth. Stars 14U scored on a two-run home run by #17.

An impressive two-way performance from Jesse Smith led COLORADO CRUSH 16A to a 5-1 win Saturday over FC Stars , as Smith came up huge at the dish and on the rubber.

Smith racked up four RBIs on one hit for COLORADO CRUSH 16A. She homered in the fifth inning.

Smith struck out six, paving the way for a COLORADO CRUSH 16A win. Smith allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks over five innings.

FC Stars managed to score one run in the fourth inning on an RBI double by#21.
