Sterling Martin leads COLORADO CRUSH 16A to 7-1 victory

Sterling Martin was strong at the plate and in the circle in carrying COLORADO CRUSH 16A to a 7-1 victory over Majestics on Saturday at Erie East.

Martin had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. She doubled in the second and third innings.

Martin's four strikeouts helped COLORADO CRUSH 16A to the victory. Martin allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over five innings.

Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed COLORADO CRUSH 16A to easily put away Majestics. A two-run single by Cassidy Blakeley and a groundout by Skylar Higens during the first inning and a two-run error in the second inning fueled COLORADO CRUSH 16A's offense early.

COLORADO CRUSH 16A increased its lead with two runs in the third. The inning looked promising, as Lexi Christopher singled, scoring Kourtney Kellogg to kick things off. That was followed up by Martin's double, plating Christopher.
